Lockdown no2 From Thursday 5th November 2020 - To Wednesday 2nd December 2020 -Update 4th November 2020

Lockdown Update

England Athletics have issued their revised guidance based on the new lockdown restrictions. Unfortunately, as expected, it means that we will not be able to hold any club training sessions whilst the restrictions are in place.

An email has been sent to all members outlining the clubs ‘Action Plan’.

I am sorry that it is not good news in relation to club training but I am hopeful that the restrictions will not be in place for any longer than the initial four weeks and we will be able to re-start in early December.

In the meantime,
Stay Safe > Have fun > Go for a Run

Nick Bamford
Chairman

COVID-19 Information - Update 10th July 2020

Return to Activity infographic

Following the new government advice on 9 July 2020 easing lockdown restrictions, we have updated our guidance documents based on this government advice as per England Athletics(see link for full details - https://www.englandathletics.org/athletics-and-running/news/guidance-update-for-restricted-return-to-activity-for-coaches-leaders-athletes-runners-and-facilities-step-3/

The summarised changes are below:

  • Clubs, groups and coaching/leading activity can now take place in unlimited numbers if it is within a Covid-19 secure environment, otherwise the limit of groups of six (including a coach or leader) remains. Each coach is able to train 12 people at one time so in a club/running group setting, multiple coaching/training groups can be run if the requisite number of coaches/leaders are present.
  • Different rules apply for those working with young people under 18. Please read and implement the government guidance.
  • Informal activity or that outside the Covid secure environment must still be within two household units or groups of no more than 6.
  • Social distancing and hygiene is still to be maintained and is key within a training involvement.

Ruislip Running Club is only operating small group club runs at a limited timetable. This is only availbe to fully pledged members only via our new booking system.

COVID-19 Information - Update 1st May 2020

The COVID-19 virus has significantly affected our regular Ruislip Running Club activities. As a sports organisation, we place huge importance on the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our members, and of the wider sporting community - and we recognise that all our lives are impacted in unprecedented ways right now.

This page has been created as a go-to for members and non-members to access up-to-date information about the club's response, throughout the duration of the COVID-19 crisis. As a committee, we are strictly adhering to Governmental and NHS directives, along with guidance received from England Athletics . Our priorities are that we contribute to minimising the spread of infection within the UK, reduce risk to our members, and work to maintain and support the 'RRC Spirit' of our fantastic club community.

All Ruislip Running Club runs, races, events, training sessions and face-to-face social activities are suspended until further notice. We will update this page with any changes.
