The club will be looking at announcing the introduction of a parkrun championships, which will take effect from 1st April 2020.
The idea of the championship is the more you run or volunteer at parkrun , the more points you get towards your championship total. Extra points are awarded for getting a new PB, so an incentive to keep improving. If you are injured, you can still get points by supporting parkrun as a volunteer.
Standard Points (Up to 20mile radius from HQ) :
Running = 10 points
Volunteering inc junior parkruns= 10 points (you will only receive points for either running OR volunteering – NOT both i.e. if you are Tailwalker)
RRC Parkrun Tour: (RRC tour dates/ locations only)
Running = 20 points
Volunteering = 20 points
Parkrun Tourism: (Over 20miles radius of HQ)
Running = 25 points
Volunteering = 25 points
Bonus Points: (Plus 25 points for PB)
If you achieve a PB at parkrun on any week, you will get +25 points but it must be an all time parkrun PB irrespective of course.
T's & C's
If you don’t have your barcode and an official time then its 0 points for that run.
If you run a Parkrun Tourism, no more than 2 runs at the same park, otherwise after this you only get Standard Points.
All members taking part must have “Ruislip Running Club” set as their club on their parkrun profile. If we can’t find you, you don’t get the points.
Volunteering is ALL volunteering roles the Parkrun require: Marshals, Timekeepers, Pacers, Finish Tokens, Barcode Scanning, Funnel Manager, Tail Walker, Finish Tokens, Finish Token Support etc
